The Mission or Ministries Groups ‘incarnate’ or embody MINISTRY in the principal areas of WORSHIP, EDUCATION, EVANGELISM, FELLOWSHIP, STEWARDSHIP, OUTREACH, PASTORAL CARE.
WORSHIP MISSION GROUP
By the canons (governing laws) of the Episcopal Church, the Rector has complete overview of the conduct of worship and all that goes on within the church building, including the scheduling, content, liturgical interpretation and musical expression.
To assist the Rector there are various groups that are organized to see to the myriad details involved in the worship services. These are the groups mentioned below. If you wish to serve in any capacity, please see the Rector or contact those in charge of specific areas in the directory sheet in the folder.

ACOLYTES
ALTAR GUILD
CHOIR and HANDBELL CHOIR
INTERCESSORS
LAY READERS/ CHALICE BEARERS ~ LECTORS
Lay Reader/Chalice Bearers are specially licensed by the Bishop to read the appointed lessons and Psalm, lead Morning or Evening Prayer, and assist the priest at the Holy Eucharist in the distribution of communion by administering the chalice, or cup containing the consecrated wine. These individuals are trained, approved by the Rector and licensed by the Bishop.
Lectors are members of the congregation who are approved to read selected lessons of scripture during the service.
